How to Play Tarot on Stake

  1. Open Tarot from the Stake Originals lobby. The Manual tab plays one round per bet.
  2. Enter your Bet Amount in the currency you hold. The ½ and 2× buttons halve or double it.
  3. Set the Difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert. Each step up raises the top multiplier and the swings.
  4. Press Bet. Three cards flip in a fixed order: the middle card first, then the left card, then the right card.
  5. Each card shows a multiplier. Your payout is your bet times all three, and a 0x on either side card ends the round.
  6. To play rounds back to back, switch from Manual to Auto before you press Bet.

Tarot Payouts: Three Cards Multiplied

Each card has its own job. The middle card comes from the Major Arcana and sets the base multiplier. The left card, from the Minor Arcana, multiplies that base: Stake says it can boost, halve or wipe out the outcome. The right card, also from the Minor Arcana, reveals the last multiplier.

Stake gives the formula in plain terms: final payout = bet x left card x middle card x right card. Because the three results are multiplied, a 0x on either side card leaves nothing to pay, however high the middle card is. A halving left card cuts the base in two before the right card flips.

Stake rates Tarot as a high-volatility game, and the Difficulty you pick moves that up or down. The table shows how far each level can go, from Easy, the low-risk mode, to Expert, where the volatility is set to the max.

Stake lists a single RTP for Tarot: 98%. Over a long run of rounds that is about $2 kept for every $100 wagered. From Bronze VIP ($10,000 wagered), or from sign-up with code BONUSTIIME once Stake support activates it, Stake’s rakeback returns 3.5% of that edge, about 7 cents per $100. The Difficulty changes how your wins are spread, so pick the swing your budget can take.

Packs also pays from cards you reveal, but it adds five card multipliers instead of multiplying three. Cases uses the same four levels, from Easy to Expert. Both run at 98% RTP, like Tarot. To compare every Original, see our house edge table.

Tarot Strategy: What You Can Control

You control

  • Your bet size and how many rounds you play
  • The Difficulty: modest multipliers or rare big ones
  • A loss limit and a time limit, set before you start

You don’t control

  • Which multiplier each card shows when it flips
  • The house edge, built into the card multipliers
  • Streaks: the last round has no effect on the next

Doubling your bet after each loss (Martingale) does not change the edge. It makes losing runs more expensive, and it stops at Stake’s maximum bet and maximum profit per bet.

18+. Play with money you can afford to lose. Stake lets you set limits or self-exclude: see our Stake self-exclusion guide and our responsible gambling page.

How to Check a Tarot Round

Tarot turns your seeds into a multiplier for each of the three cards, so replaying the same seeds and nonce rebuilds the same round, card by card. The artwork is only a theme: the cards follow the seeds, not a reading.

  1. Before you play, open Fairness in the game and note the hashed server seed.
  2. After your session, rotate your seed: Stake reveals the old server seed.
  3. Hash it, compare it with the one you noted, then replay any round with your client seed and nonce.

Stake Tarot FAQ

Is Stake Tarot Rigged?

No. The multipliers on all three cards come from your client seed, Stake's server seed and the nonce, and Stake shows the server seed's hash first. Once that seed is revealed, you can replay any round and get the same three cards and the same payout.

What Is the RTP of Stake Tarot?

Stake lists Tarot's RTP at 98%, which leaves a 2% house edge. Over many rounds that is about $2 kept per $100 wagered. Stake gives one figure for the game, not one per Difficulty.

What Is the Max Win on Stake Tarot?

5,000x your bet, on Expert. The other levels top out lower: 20x on Easy, 160x on Medium and 1,176x on Hard. Any win is also capped by Stake's maximum profit per bet.

How Do the Three Cards Work in Stake Tarot?

They flip middle first, then left, then right. The middle card, from the Major Arcana, sets the base multiplier. The left card multiplies that base, which can boost, halve or wipe out the outcome. The right card reveals the last multiplier. Your payout is your bet times all three.

What Happens If a Side Card Shows 0x in Tarot?

It pays nothing. Stake says that if either side card reveals a 0x multiplier, the round ends and a new game begins. Your payout is your bet times all three cards, so a 0x on a side card brings it to zero, whatever the middle card showed.

Which Difficulty Is Best in Stake Tarot?

None beats the house edge: Stake lists one RTP, 98%, for the game. Easy keeps the multipliers modest, up to 20x, while Expert sets the volatility to the max for rare wins up to 5,000x. Choose the swing your budget can absorb.
