How to Play Dragon Tower on Stake

  1. Open Dragon Tower from the Stake Originals lobby. The Manual tab plays one round at a time.
  2. Enter your Bet Amount in the currency you hold. The ½ and 2× buttons halve or double it.
  3. Set the Difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert or Master. It sets how many tiles are in play on each row of the tower.
  4. Press Bet, then pick a tile on the first row, or press Random Pick to let the game choose one for you.
  5. Find a dragon egg and you move up a level, to a higher multiplier. Total Profit shows your current multiplier and profit.
  6. Cash out to collect your bet times that multiplier, or pick a tile on the next row. If your pick has no egg, the round ends and you lose your bet.

Dragon Tower Difficulty, Levels and Payouts

Two things shape every payout: the Difficulty and the level you reach. The harder settings pay bigger multipliers, and every level you climb raises the multiplier again.

Stake lists a single RTP for Dragon Tower: 98%. So each multiplier works out at about 0.98 divided by your chance of reaching that level. If a step had a one in two chance, a fair price would be 2x; at 98% RTP it would pay 1.96x. The game shows the multipliers as you play.

Over a long run of rounds, that 98% means about $2 kept for every $100 wagered. From Bronze VIP ($10,000 wagered), or from sign-up with code BONUSTIIME once Stake support activates it, Stake’s rakeback returns 3.5% of that edge, about 7 cents per $100. The Difficulty and your cash-out level change how your wins are spread, so pick the swing your budget can take.

Mines and Chicken, two other climb-and-cash-out Originals, run at 99% and 98% RTP. To compare every Original, see our house edge table.

Dragon Tower Strategy: When to Cash Out

You control

  • Your bet size and how many rounds you play
  • The Difficulty, and how high you climb before cashing out
  • A loss limit and a time limit, set before you start

You don’t control

  • Which tiles hide the eggs: every row is random
  • The house edge, built into every multiplier
  • Streaks: the last round has no effect on the next

Stake calls the cash-out the most important feature of Dragon Tower. Cash out after one or two eggs and you win more often, for smaller amounts. Aim higher and more rounds end on a wrong pick, with rarer but bigger wins. Neither path changes the 2% edge. Random Pick or your own choice makes no difference either: the eggs are placed at random.

Doubling your bet after each loss (Martingale) does not change the edge. It makes losing runs more expensive, and it stops at Stake’s maximum bet and maximum profit per bet.

18+. Play with money you can afford to lose. Stake lets you set limits or self-exclude: see our Stake self-exclusion guide and our responsible gambling page.

How to Check a Dragon Tower Round

Dragon Tower turns your seeds into the egg positions on all 9 rows as soon as you bet. Your picks only decide which tiles you uncover, not where the eggs are.

  1. Before you play, open Fairness in the game and note the hashed server seed.
  2. After your session, rotate your seed: Stake reveals the old server seed.
  3. Hash it, compare it with the one you noted, then replay any round with your client seed and nonce.

Stake Dragon Tower FAQ

Is Stake Dragon Tower Rigged?

No. Dragon Tower is provably fair: Stake shows a hash of its server seed first, and once you rotate that seed you can replay any round with your client seed and nonce. Each tile you uncovered should match the replay, egg or no egg.

What Is the RTP of Stake Dragon Tower?

Stake lists Dragon Tower's RTP at 98%, which leaves a 2% house edge. Over many rounds that is about $2 kept per $100 wagered.

What Is the Max Win on Stake Dragon Tower?

Stake does not publish a single max win figure for Dragon Tower. The top multiplier depends on the Difficulty and is shown in game, on the last of the 9 levels. Any win is also capped by Stake's maximum profit per bet.

Does the Difficulty Change Dragon Tower's RTP?

No. Stake lists one RTP for Dragon Tower, 98%, and gives no separate figure for Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert or Master. The Difficulty changes how many tiles are in play and how big the multipliers are, not the edge.

What Happens on a Wrong Pick in Dragon Tower?

The round ends and you lose your bet, along with the multiplier you had built up. To keep a win, cash out after an egg and before your next pick.

When Should You Cash Out in Dragon Tower?

There is no best level: each one is priced from its odds, so none beats the 2% edge. Your chance of reaching a level is about 0.98 divided by its multiplier: about 1 in 2 for a level near 2x, about 1 in 10 for one near 10x. Pick a target your budget can take and stick to it.
