What Is Stake Moles?

Stake Moles is Stake’s in-house whack-a-mole game. You choose 1 to 6 moles, then pick a hole: each hit raises your multiplier, a miss ends the round and loses the bet, and you can cash out after any hit. Stake sets its RTP at 98%, a 2% house edge. The number of moles sets the odds and volatility.

How to Play Moles on Stake
- Open Moles from the Stake Originals lobby. In Manual mode you play each hit yourself.
- Enter your Bet Amount in the currency you hold. The ½ and 2× buttons halve or double it.
- Under Moles, choose how many moles appear on the board: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. They come up from a board of 7 holes.
- Press Bet, then pick a hole, or use Random Pick to let the game choose for you.
- A hit raises the multiplier shown in Total Profit. A miss ends the round at once and the bet is lost.
- After any hit, cash out to collect your bet times that multiplier, or go for another hit.
- To play a series of rounds, switch to Auto. Set your bet, the number of moles and the number of hits, then add Stop on Profit or Stop on Loss limits.
Moles Payouts: Moles, Hits and Multipliers
Your payout is your bet times the multiplier when you cash out. Stake says the number of moles sets the volatility and adjusts your odds of winning, without saying which way. We infer the direction: more moles on the same board should make a hit easier to land, and since Stake lists one RTP for the game, an easier hit should pay less. Fewer moles would then mean rarer hits and a multiplier that climbs faster.
Stake’s Moles page lists the multipliers for each number of moles and hits, and Total Profit tracks yours in game. Stake’s page gives a max win of 5,649,504.98x your bet, without saying which setting reaches it.
Stake lists a single RTP for Moles: 98%. Over a long run of rounds that is about $2 kept for every $100 wagered. From Bronze VIP ($10,000 wagered), or from sign-up with code BONUSTIIME once Stake support activates it, Stake’s rakeback returns 3.5% of that edge, about 7 cents per $100.

Moles Strategy: What You Can Control

No cash-out point beats the edge. Every extra hit is one more chance to miss, so stopping after one hit wins more often, while going for more hits wins more, less often. In Auto, Stop on Profit and Stop on Loss end a series at the level you set: they cap a session, not the edge.
Doubling your bet after each loss (Martingale) does not change the edge. It makes losing runs more expensive, and it stops at Stake’s maximum bet and maximum profit per bet.

How to Check a Moles Round
Moles turns your seeds into the holes the moles come up from in each round. Your pick only chooses a hole, so it cannot move a mole. Stake’s fairness calculator and game events tab show the data behind any round.
- Before you play, open the game’s fairness settings and note the hashed server seed.
- After your session, rotate your seed: Stake reveals the old server seed.
- Hash it, compare it with the one you noted, then replay any round with your client seed and nonce.
