How to Sign Up at Stake and Verify Your Account

Signing up at Stake starts with a free three-field form, an optional code box, an over-18 tick box, and an email code entered in Account Setup.

Stake sign-up starts with a short free form.

How to Sign Up at Stake

Start your Stake sign-up from the Register button at the top right of the homepage, then open the Create Your Free Account form. The registration asks for Email, Username, and Password, plus an optional Referral Code field and a box confirming that you are 18 or older and accept the Terms and Conditions. Registration is free and usually takes a few minutes.

You can also create an account through Google or through other listed options such as Facebook, Line, and Twitch. That route still completes the same registration goal, but the password is then managed on the platform you chose rather than at Stake. If you already use one of those services, the first account setup can feel more direct.

What You Need before Registering

Before you open the registration form, make sure you meet the age rule confirmed by the tick box: 18 or the higher legal age of majority where that applies. The account request must be made personally, not for someone else. Stake can also ask for proof of age and suspend the account until that document is received.

  • Have a valid email address ready, because the form requires it and later account contact depends on details that remain accurate and up to date.
  • Choose your username in advance, because it is one of the three required fields on the registration form.
  • Set a password you can keep private, because login security starts when the account is opened and your credentials remain your responsibility.
  • Keep your date of birth and other personal details true and up to date, because incomplete or inaccurate information can suspend the registration and make later deposits invalid, including any winnings.
  • Be aware that KYC can request documents later, because Stake verifies identity, address, and source of funds in stages after the account has been opened.

You do not need to complete every KYC stage before the account opens. From the start, Stake’s responsible gambling tools, grouped in the Stake Smart area, include indefinite self-exclusion with a minimum of 6 months and deposit limits. Self-exclusion closes account access for an indefinite period, while a deposit limit caps what you can deposit.

Step-by-Step Account Creation

Once you tick the age and terms box and the account is successfully created, Stake.com’s terms apply from that point onward. The sign-up flow then moves in two parts. The form creates the account first, and Account Setup handles the email code and the later Level 1 step. That order matters, because email verification and basic account details do not sit inside the same screen.

  1. Open the form. Select Register to launch the official Create Your Free Account screen. That is where the account creation starts.
  2. Enter the key details. Fill in Email, Username, and Password. Add a Referral Code only if you have one, because that field is optional.
  3. Accept the account terms. Tick the box confirming your age and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. Then choose Register With Email to create the account.
  4. Use the email code. After registration, Account Setup asks for the code sent to your inbox. Enter that code there to continue with email verification.
  5. Finish Level 1. Complete the Level 1 details, including your country. That country can affect eligibility for some features and local currency options.

Your first deposit comes after the account is open, and Stake accepts deposits from crypto wallets under your control or through the payment methods offered on the site, using your own funds only. The country declared at Level 1 can affect whether local currency options appear. When those options are not available, crypto can still remain possible on the account.

How Email Verification Works

To verify your email address, choose Verify Account, then Confirm Your Email inside Account Setup. Stake sends a verification code by email, and you enter it in the Email Code field before choosing Submit. If the address was entered incorrectly during registration, the same verification window lets you correct it there before requesting another code.

You can still confirm email later through Settings, then Account, then Email, which keeps account verification available if you skipped it earlier. Verification and account security messages come from noreply@stake.com, while noreply@mail.stake.com is used for marketing. That difference helps you identify the correct sender when a confirmation code arrives and avoid mixing a security email with a promotional one.

Identity Verification and Account Activation

Identity verification comes after registration rather than inside the first form, but it can still shape how fully the account works. Stake runs KYC in stages, starting with Level 1 personal details and then moving through identity, proof of address, and source of funds. Those checks help confirm legal eligibility, protect the account, and make sure withdrawals reach the right person.

To verify identity, Stake accepts an international passport, a national identity card, or a driving licence, with clear full images of a valid document. The proof of identity rules also require readable, original images without blur, flash, screenshots, or digital document files. Proof of address and a selfie with the document can follow at later stages of account verification.

Stake can restrict service, payments, or withdrawals until the required checks are complete, and extra KYC can be requested for any withdrawal. Completing identity verification early can therefore make the first withdrawal less disruptive. Some third-party sites describe document review as often taking less than 24 hours, but Stake can still ask for further checks, so that timing is only a possibility.

Can You Register on Mobile?

Yes, mobile registration uses the same form as desktop when you open Stake in your phone browser. The mobile route keeps the same basic account fields, so your email, username, and password are entered in the same way as on a computer. If documents are requested later, the phone camera can be used to photograph them during the verification process.

The app picture is different from the browser route. An app on iOS devices can be available depending on the country of the store, while Android uses the browser because no Stake.com app is published on Google Play. The same account works across the mobile site and the app, so mobile registration does not create a separate profile.

Stake Sign-Up Bonus and Promo Code Questions

The welcome bonus question appears during registration because the form includes an optional Referral Code field. You can enter a valid code there while opening the account, and the same Referral Code route can also be used on the account Offers page during the first day after registration. That makes the code part of the account setup process rather than a separate step.

Once registration is complete, a player can become eligible for promotions and bonus offers, but each one follows its own rules and those rules are accepted when the account is opened. After that first day has passed, the code cannot be entered on the account anymore. A player who registered with a code can still ask live chat for help if a promo code question remains unresolved.

Country Availability and Restrictions

Check your country before you start, because Stake.com blocks registration from certain places and a restricted country prevents the account from being opened. The rule applies both to residents and to anyone physically present there. The licence position includes examples such as the United Kingdom, France, Spain, the Netherlands, the United States, and Ontario, so access depends on where you are when you register.

Stake.us is a separate product from Stake.com, with its own registration page and its own apps, so the two sign-up routes are not interchangeable. A rule that applies to Stake.us does not carry across to Stake.com. You also need to meet the minimum age rule where you are, and Stake can refuse the request or suspend the account until proof of age is provided.

Common Sign-Up Problems and Fixes

If access fails after registration, start with the route that matches the problem rather than opening a new account. A forgotten password uses the Forgot Password form with the verified account email, and the recovery message usually arrives within a few minutes with a link to choose a new password. If the page behaves badly during sign-up, clear stored site data first, using Settings, Safari, Advanced, and Website Data on iPhone, or Chrome’s Delete Browsing Data on a computer.

ProblemLikely CauseWhat to Do
Confirmation email did not arriveThe code was not resent, or the visible address needs checkingOpen Verify Email, review the displayed address, and use Resend email
Email address was entered incorrectly during signupThe address on the Verify Email screen needs correctionEdit the address there, then request a new code
Password forgotten, or account opened through Google or another platformPassword recovery depends on the verified email or the linked platformUse Forgot Password, or reset access through the linked platform
Access to the account email has been lostThe original mailbox is no longer availableWrite to recovery@stake.com from the new address you want linked
Site loads badly during sign-upStored browser data is interfering with the pageClear cache and cookies, then load the registration page again

Use support when the fix needs direct account help, because Stake offers live chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and support@stake.com for follow-up. If you have lost access to your email, the recovery request starts from a different address that you want attached to the account, and support then handles the mailbox change.

Protecting Your New Account

After account creation, protect the login in Settings > Security by linking 2FA through an authenticator app or by adding a passkey. The 2FA code changes every 30 seconds and is activated through a link sent by email. A passkey is added through Add Passkey and unlocks with device biometrics or a PIN. Those tools give the account a stronger login setup before a later access problem appears.
