Iron Psalm by Pact Gaming Slot Overview

Iron Psalm by Pact Gaming blends a dark western setting with ironwork, glowing orange accents and a dusty canyon backdrop. Its symbol upgrades connect it with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but here Clause can turn a reel’s non-Scatter positions Wild or upgrade its low symbols.

The distinctive Refrain feature can rotate the reel grid through 180° after a paying face, creating further wins with rising multipliers. High volatility adds intensity, while Iron Hymn offers the highest bonus ceiling: 300,000x the bet. Explore these mechanics in the free demo on BonusTiime.

Iron Psalm Slot Features

Clause, Refrain, Pact Wild, Psalm Scatter and the hidden Iron Hymn make Iron Psalm a feature-rich Pact Gaming slot, with reel rewriting, table flips and three bonus tiers that change how each round builds.

Clause

Before a Ways evaluation, one reel can be rewritten in one of two ways: every non-Scatter position on that reel becomes Wild, or every low symbol on that reel is upgraded to a high symbol. In an upgrade, A and K become the Pact Skull, Q and J become the Psalter, and 10 becomes the Rail Crossing. High symbols, Wilds and Scatters on the rewritten reel stay as they are.

Refrain

After a paying face, the whole 5×4 table can rotate 180 degrees and pay again. Each paying symbol can sing only once in the same chain, so a chain ends when no unused symbol wins. Successive faces use the multiplier ladder 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 13x, 20x, 30x, 50x, 75x and 100x.

Pact Wild

The Pact seal substitutes for every paying symbol, and a Wild on reel one can start a winning way. It does not substitute for the Scatter.

Psalm Scatter

Scatters pay by opening a bonus rather than a cash prize: 3 award Hymn and 10 free spins, 4 award High Hymn and 12 free spins, and 5 award the hidden Iron Hymn and 16 free spins. During free spins, 2, 3, 4 or 5 Scatters add 4, 6, 8 or 10 extra spins respectively.

Iron Hymn

Iron Hymn is the hidden third tier and awards 16 free spins. It cannot be bought: it is reached through 5 Scatters, a Mystery draw or a rare base-game trigger, and it is the only tier with a 300,000x top win.

Bonus Buy

The feature desk has two pages. The spin modes on the first page stay switched on and are charged on every spin, while the contracts on the second page are bought once and start right away.

• Ante: x3 the bet per spin; more Clause reels and more Scatters on every spin, so the bonus opens about six times as often as in the base game.
• Surety: x25 the bet per spin; every spin pays a win, and the next bonus opened by Scatters is upgraded by one tier, so 3 Scatters become 4 and 4 become 5.
• Earnest: x75 the bet per spin; a deposit holds 2, 3, 4 or 5 Wilds with probabilities of 43.00%, 34.22%, 15.95% and 6.83%, and every spin lands at least one Scatter.
• Called In: x2,000 the bet per spin; the spin has a guaranteed opening flip whose first face starts at 3x, and the chain continues while each new face pays.
• Hymn Buy: x100 the bet; opens Hymn directly with 3 Scatters and 10 free spins.
• High Hymn Buy: x300 the bet; opens High Hymn directly with 4 Scatters and 12 free spins.
• Mystery: x500 the bet; draws one bonus after purchase, with 43.55% Hymn, 30.40% High Hymn, 15.83% Refrain and 10.22% hidden Iron Hymn.
• Refrain Contract: x1,200 the bet; opens 14 free spins and guarantees the table flip on the opening reveal, and the chain can run for up to 10 faces.

Iron Psalm Slot Review

Iron Psalm uses a western frame, but the industrial detailing and psalm imagery give it a harder edge than a standard frontier slot. The rusty metal casing, glowing orange highlights and skull and bell symbols create a strong identity before the action even starts.

The standout here is Clause, which rewrites a reel before the Ways check, and Refrain, which can flip the whole table and pay again using previously unused paying symbols. That gives the gameplay real texture, while the high volatility keeps results sharply uneven.

Iron Psalm combines bonus tiers, retriggers and chain reactions, but longer sessions and feature purchases do not improve its stated RTP. The 300,000x ceiling gives it proper ambition, but the bonus menu also adds cost and pressure. The result is distinctive, not gentle.
