What Is the Le Series?

The Le slots are a series from Hacksaw Gaming built around Smokey, a raccoon who comes back from game to game in a new role or disguise. The series starts with Le Bandit, where he is Smokey Le Bandit, a crowbar-wielding raccoon in Paris. In Le Cowboy, the character returns as Smokey Le Cowboy.

Le Vampire moves the raccoon to a spooky castle, while Le Bunny presents Smokey as a master of disguise. In Le Sortudo, Smokey wears a beach disguise in Brazil. You follow the same character across these settings, from a Parisian bandit to a cowboy, vampire or holidaymaker, rather than meeting a different lead character in each game.

The Formula Most Le Games Share

Most Le games run on the same loop, though not every title follows it. Le Bandit shows it best: it pays in clusters, like other cluster pays slots, and every win leaves Golden Squares behind. When a Rainbow lands, it activates those squares to reveal coins, Four-Leaf Clovers and Pots of Gold, and the Pots of Gold collect the coin values.

The features that return in the Le series include collectors with different names and collection rules. In Le King, a Neon Rainbow activates Golden Squares to reveal coins, clovers, Treasure Pots and Jackpot Markers. Le Santa uses the Santa Sack as its collector symbol. In Le Fisherman, Buckets collect coins from adjacent squares, while Global Buckets collect coins across the grid.

In Le Bandit, three, four or five FS symbols open three different bonus rounds; the five-symbol round is the top bonus and guarantees a Rainbow on every spin. Le Fisherman, Le Vampire and Le Prechaun add Epic Rainbows, which reveal special symbols on every position of the grid rather than activating Golden Squares alone.

The Le Games That Break the Formula

You can see what changes from one Le title to another in the core game mechanic, not just the theme. In Le Viking, landing 6 coins at once in the base game starts Raid Spins, a re-spin mode with 3 refilling lives. In Le Viking’s bonuses, the triggering FS symbols become sticky Grid Multipliers. Le Zeus instead uses mystery symbols to reveal high-paying symbols, Wilds or Mystery Reels.

Le Cowboy turns a wild within a winning cluster into a Revolver Cylinder. The Revolver Cylinder shoots the grid to reveal special symbols. Le Cowboy also opens the bonus with a Bonus Gamble, giving you the choice to play the bonus or gamble it. Le Pharaoh makes winning symbols sticky and awards re-drops; landing 3 or 4 FS symbols opens a choice between two bonus rounds.
